Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant, Slovakia.
Powering Progress in Central Europe
Nuclear Project
The Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant, located in western Slovakia, is a vital pillar of the country’s energy infrastructure and a symbol of its commitment to low-carbon electricity generation. With Units 1 and 2 operational since the late 1990s, and the more recent commissioning of Unit 3 in 2023, the plant now delivers over 1,300 MW of total net capacity. Once the planned Unit 4 is online, Mochovce will provide more than 90% of Slovakia’s nuclear-generated electricity—contributing significantly to the nation’s energy independence and climate targets.
In a facility where safety, longevity, and reliability are paramount, the quality of individual components is critical. Rosswag supports Mochovce’s mission by supplying high-performance parts specifically engineered for the nuclear sector. These include open-die forged components, ring-rolled structures, and finely machined assemblies, all produced from specialized alloys designed to withstand the high pressures, temperatures, and mechanical stresses typical of nuclear operation.
Thanks to Rosswag’s advanced metallurgical expertise and stringent manufacturing standards, these components contribute to the stable and safe functioning of the plant. Mochovce stands as a strong example of how precision engineering and international collaboration can shape a resilient and sustainable energy future for Slovakia and Central Europe.
