Olkiluoto 3, Finland.
Europe’s Flagship for Nuclear Innovation

Nuclear Project

Olkiluoto 3, located on Finland’s west coast, is a landmark project in Europe’s nuclear landscape. As the first European Pressurized Reactor (EPR) to be completed in the region, it represents a new era in nuclear safety, efficiency, and output. With a net capacity of 1,600 MW, Olkiluoto 3 is Finland’s single largest power-generating unit, capable of producing up to 14 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually—covering nearly 15% of the nation’s electricity demand with low-carbon, reliable power.

The scale and complexity of the EPR design required the highest level of technical precision and material reliability. Rosswag contributed to this monumental achievement by supplying high-performance components tailored to the extreme demands of EPR operation. These include open-die forged parts, ring-rolled sections, and precision-machined assemblies, all manufactured from advanced alloys developed to endure intense thermal and mechanical stresses.

Rosswag’s expertise in metallurgical engineering and quality-controlled production ensures that its components seamlessly support the reactor’s long-term performance and safety. The integration of these high-quality parts reinforces Olkiluoto 3’s role as a technological benchmark—not only for Finland but for nuclear innovation across Europe. It exemplifies how expert craftsmanship and material science come together to power a cleaner, more resilient future.
