A-Z 5 G is a high-strength, heat-treatable aluminum-zinc-magnesium alloy designed for structural applications where excellent mechanical performance and good fatigue resistance are required. It is widely used in aerospace, transport, and military engineering for forged components that must withstand high static and dynamic loads while maintaining a low weight. Although its corrosion resistance is lower than that of other aluminum alloys, it can be effectively improved through surface treatments.
