AA 2014 and AA 2214 A-U 4 SG / A7-U 4 SG are high-strength, heat-treatable aluminum-copper alloys specifically designed for applications requiring excellent mechanical properties and good wear resistance. These alloys offer very good machinability and high static and fatigue strength, making them ideal for forged aerospace, automotive, and military components such as structural parts, suspension elements, and high-load machine parts. Due to their lower corrosion resistance, surface protection is recommended for use in aggressive environments.
