AA 2618 / 2618A A-U 2 GN is a high-strength, heat-treatable aluminum-copper alloy with added magnesium and iron, offering excellent mechanical properties and good performance at elevated temperatures. It is specifically designed for use in aerospace, motorsport, and high-performance engineering applications where thermal stability and fatigue resistance are critical. The alloy is also known for its good machinability and moderate corrosion resistance, which can be enhanced through surface treatments.
