AA 5005 is a non-heat-treatable aluminum alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in atmospheric and marine environments, along with good weldability and moderate strength. It offers very good formability, making it suitable for forged components with complex geometries that require aesthetic surface finishes and durability. Common applications include architectural elements, automotive trim, and chemical containers.
