Description
AA 7022 is a high-strength, heat-treatable aluminum-zinc-magnesium-copper alloy known for its excellent machinability, dimensional stability, and good corrosion resistance in aged condition. It is particularly well-suited for precision-forged components in the aerospace, automotive, and mold-making industries where tight tolerances and high mechanical performance are critical. The alloy also offers good fatigue resistance and is often used in tooling, structural elements, and high-performance machinery parts. At Rosswag, we use advanced open-die forging and precision machining to produce reliable components from AA 7022. Its combination of strength, stability, and machinability makes it a preferred material for demanding, high-precision applications.
