Description
3.3124, also known as EN AW-2024, is a high-strength, heat-treatable aluminum-copper alloy developed for demanding structural applications, particularly in the aerospace and transport sectors. It offers excellent fatigue resistance, good machinability, and a high strength-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for forged components such as aircraft structures, suspension parts, and mechanical elements under dynamic loads. Although its corrosion resistance is lower than that of other aluminum alloys, this can be improved with suitable surface treatments. At Rosswag, we manufacture precision-forged parts from 3.3124 using advanced open-die forging and machining technologies. Its mechanical reliability and lightweight properties make it a preferred material for critical, load-bearing applications.
