EN AW-2017 is a heat-treatable aluminum-copper alloy known for its high strength, good machinability, and reliable fatigue resistance. It is widely used in aerospace, automotive, and mechanical engineering for forged components that are exposed to dynamic loads and require excellent mechanical performance. While its corrosion resistance is lower than that of other aluminum alloys, it can be improved through suitable surface treatments.
