Description
AISI 347 is an austenitic stainless steel stabilized with niobium, providing excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature strength. This material is particularly suitable for applications in the chemical processing, petrochemical, and aerospace industries, where it is often used for components like heat exchangers, boiler tubes, and exhaust manifolds. AISI 347 performs exceptionally well in environments exposed to high temperatures and corrosive conditions, making it ideal for welding applications. It is well-suited for open-die forging and machining, enabling the production of durable and precise components. The alloy's good weldability and formability enhance its versatility, ensuring reliable performance and longevity in demanding industrial applications requiring strength and corrosion resistance.
