3rd HI-AM Conference 2020

Rosswag was part of the virtual HI-AM Conference on 25th and 26th of June. In Session 9, our Head of Engineering Gregor Graf presented some results of the transatlantic research project HiPTSLAM during his presentation "Thermal Insulation and Laser-based Preheating Method for Processing a Ledeburitic Tool Steel in LPBF". A new high-performance tool steel alloy was qualified in the LPBF process and attained an as-printed hardness of more than 56 HRC.

Furthermore, our managing director Sven Donisi presented in Session 11, sponsored by TraCLight, some insights to our unique hybrid manufacturing approach with the title "Hybrid Additive Manufacturing Possibilities Based on Forging in Combination with LPBF".

The HI-AM Conference is the only academic conference in Canada focused exclusively on metal additive manufacturing. With over 100 additive manufacturing experts and decision-makers from academia, research institutes, industry and government participating, HI-AM 2020 is an event not to be missed.
